Sarada Girls’ Home

Srimat Swami Vipulanandaji Maharaj founded a home for girls at Karaitivu on 31st January 1937, while Swami Natarajanandaji inaugurated another home for girls at Anaipanthy on 9th May 1951. Both homes were later relocated to their current site in Kallady.

The home aims to provide free education to girls who have been affected by war, are orphaned, or come from financially disadvantaged families.

The girls at the home are given various opportunities to develop physically, intellectually, and spiritually. They participate in gardening, sports and recreational activities. Additionally, they have access to free music, languages, arts, and I.T. courses at the Vivekananda Centre for Human Excellence. Moreover, the home focuses on their spiritual development through prayer, worship and meditation.

The home for girls is located approximately 700 meters from Ramakrishna Mission, Kallady, Batticaloa.
