Ramakrishna Mission Boys’ Home

The home for boys was founded by Srimat Swami Vipulanandaji Maharaj. It started with just four students at Vellikkilamai Madam in Vannarpannai, Jaffna, on 6 June 1926. Later, on 14 November 1929, it was relocated to its current site at Ramakrishna Mission, Ramakrishnapuram, Batticaloa.

The home aims to provide free education to boys who have been affected by war, are orphaned, or come from financially disadvantaged families.

The boys at the home are given various opportunities to develop physically, intellectually, and spiritually. They participate in gardening, sports and recreational activities. Additionally, they have access to music, languages, arts, and I.T. courses at the Vivekananda Centre for Human Excellence. Moreover, the home focuses on their spiritual development through prayer, worship and meditation.

The home is located on Ramakrishna Mission Campus, Ramakrishnapuram, Batticaloa.
